【サルのマンゴーの物語】

かつてマンゴーという名のサルがいました。
ある日、マンゴーがジャングルの最も奥深く暗いところを探索していたとき、
彼は古代の一枚岩のバナナの木に出くわしました。
バナナの木に生えていたのは、マンゴーがこれまでに見たり味わったりした中で最も大きく、ふっくらとしたジューシーなバナナでした。
いくつかのバナナはとても大きかったので、雪ソリのように山を下ることができました。
マンゴーが地面に到着した時には、バナナは黒く傷ついてしまっていました。
それをみてマンゴーは、その傷ついてもなお使えるバナナそりを見て、
自分の人生と照らし合わせ、今でも物思いにふけって考えることがあるそうです。

【The story of Mango the Monkey】

Once there was a monkey called Mango and one day when he was exploring deep in the darkest part of the jungle he stumbled across an ancient monolithic banana tree. Growing on the banana tree were the largest, plumpest and juiciest bananas that Mango had ever seen or tasted. Some of the bananas were so large that he could ride them down the mountain like a toboggan and that's what he did. By the time he reached the bottom the banana was black and bruised but Mango had the ride of his life and still thinks about it to this day.
